About Amber

My family and I moved to Kaysville during COVID in 2020. My partner, Kevin and I share four children, two children in law, three grand babies, three dogs and a cat. Our oldest, Mackenzie and her husband Andrew, reside in North Ogden with their dog, Pip. Austin and Kierstin and our three grand babies, Grayson (4), Jacob (2) and Willow (12 weeks) reside in Layton and our youngest sons, Cooper (17) and Gavin (16) live with us here in Kaysville. Cooper is a member of the Davis High Varsity Football and Track teams. Gavin is a 3 time state champion wrestler at Layton High. Our pets, Ron Weasley, Cinderella, Jolie and Meow Meow round out the crew!

I am an executive in the financial technology sector, serving as the Vice President of Credit Unions for North America. I have also held the position of CEO from 2020-2024 where I was able to take a company that ran in the red for 27 years to its first ever run of profitability ending in its successful acquisition in 2024. While I am proud to demonstrate my skills in financial management, I am far more proud of the work we did to generate jobs in the community. Growing open positions by 40% and increasing retention from 8 months to 36 months in just 4 short years. PEOPLE and their willingness to give of their time, talents and resources are what really make the world go around. In addition to my professional career I hold or have held positions as:

  • Utah Chapter Chair Global Women’s Leadership Network - World Council of Credit Unions - 2019-Present

  • Founding member and President of Utah Prospects, a sports club for 7v7 football players age 8-17 2018-Present

  • Founding Member of Women of Mambu ERG 2024-Present

  • Clinton City Youth City Council Advisor 2013-2018

  • West Haven Days Celebration Volunteer 2008-2010

I am a committed collaborator and believe strongly that working together will always lead to the best outcome for the greatest number of people. Diversity in professional experience, age, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, political values, and spiritual values are important lenses in which to view community management and responsibilities. I am a staunch supporter of youth education and community engagement, locally owned business owners and entrepreneurs, community oriented services and activities for all ages and abilities while being a responsible fiduciary steward of community funds.

I have a strong desire to give back to the community my friends, family and neighbors live in and commit to representing ALL members of the Kaysville community now and in the future equally.

I thank you for taking the time to get to know me and I look forward to earning the privilege of representing you as a member of the Kaysville City Council!
